Design and Approach

Smile Design

Traditional Orthodontic will address crowding without focusing on making a youthful smile. Showing less of the top teeth and more of the bottom teeth (Natural aging process as the lip moves down with age), A smile that is not broad enough can leave dark corners when smiling which is less attractive.

Our Smile Approach

Our expertise with smile design allows us to create a timeless smile showing more of the upper teeth following the lower lip and less of the bottom teeth, wider broader smile with less dark corners. Help you look younger longer.

Braces and other modalities of orthodontics may be recommended by an orthodontist for the purpose of improving the orofacial appearance of a patient, enhancing growth and development of the jaws and enabling an aesthetic outcome. Problems such as crowded or crooked teeth, underbites or overbites, and incorrect jaw positions can be corrected with proper orthodontic treatment. Such problems, when left untreated, can result in gum disease, tooth decay, earaches, headaches, chewing (or biting problems), and even difficulty speaking.

Clear Aligners

Among the most recent introductions to the world of orthodontics is an appliance known as aligners such as Invisalign. These clear appliances can be customized and are removable, which means they won’t trap plaque and food between the teeth; a common problem with metal braces. A set of aligners is worn for approximately one to two weeks and can be removed for flossing, brushing, and eating. It presents a clear option to patients that are concerned about the aesthetic appearance of their smile while undergoing orthodontic treatment.

Phase 1 Treatment

There are orthodontic advantages in treating certain cases in two separate stages. The goal of the Phase I treatment is to develop well-oriented jaws, healthy bones and gums, and adequate room for permanent teeth. Children sometimes exhibit early signs of jaw problems as they grow and develop. For example, an upper or lower jaw that is growing too much or not enough can benefit from early orthodontic treatment. Crowded jaws can also benefit from early observation and treatment. This early correction can prevent the removal of permanent teeth due to excessive overbite or overcrowding. If you believe a problem exists, you are most likely correct in your assessment.

Phase 2 Treatment

During Phase II treatment, our goal is to position all of the permanent teeth to maximize their appearance and improve their functional integrity. This is best accomplished by placing braces on all of the upper and lower teeth. The treatment length for Phase II is generally 18-24 months long.
